Okay, it’s confession time: I’ve been away from the bike-tography game for a while. I started my comeback at Sunday’s Cyclovia Tucson.
If you’re not familiar with the global Cyclovia movement, it’s a celebration of streets for everyone, not just cars. Held in Tucson since 2010, Cyclovia inspires tens of thousands of people to bicycle, skate, run, walk, and wheelchair their way along a course that’s closed to motorized traffic.
This past Sunday’s edition featured everything from a party at the University of Arizona Poetry Center — it’s National Poetry Month, after all — to Lupita the rockin’ librarian.
Lupita’s day job is circulation manager at the Pima County Library’s Wilmot branch. When big festivals happen, she is there to share the best bicycling music mix on the planet.
