Jack-in-the-Pulpit

During the springtime, the Jack-in-the-pulpit is one of the biggest showoffs in the woods. Its flowers look like hooded cups, and “Jack,” the central pollen spike, bears a strong resemblance to someone standing in a pulpit. After the flowers fade, the plant produces a berry cluster, which is shown in this photo.
