There’s a farm down the street from my folks’ house…
The farm is part of a private school’s property, and the athletic fields are adjacent to the cornfields. After the geese chow down in the cornfields, they adjourn to the soccer complex. Where they mill around and discuss the things that geese like to discuss…
Ever tried sneaking up on a flock of geese? You can get pretty close. And then the flock’s sentry starts going “Awnk! Awnk! Awnk!” The rest join in as they all take off, honking as they leave the ground. They keep up the racket as they fly off to a safer spot.
