Nature Photography: Snowy Morning

Since I didn’t win the slumbering championship last night, I decided to sleep in. All the way ’til 7:25 a.m.

Time to rise and shine and go outside for a look at the snowfall in the yard. No, I’m not kidding. This is a blog post about snow in Tucson, Arizona. It’s a sequel to this one.

Out to the front yard…

Just a few snowy patches remaining, and yes, that is a rain gauge in the rock garden. It’s not as accurate as the one in the back yard, which showed .43″ of precipitation from yesterday’s snow and rainfall. Brings the annual total total to 1.30″.

Juxtaposition time. How about trailing indigo and prickly pear cactus with snow?

Not looking forward to this next part: A trip to the back yard, the home of the Tragic Garden.

Skip the angst. I think that vegetables and snow make for a photogenic combination…
